If you’re talking to someone in a wheelchair, get down to that level or pull up a chair.

Don’t pet or play with a service dog unless you ask. The dog has a job, and you might distract it without meaning to.

If you see people teasing, mocking, imitating, pushing, tripping, or otherwise bullying someone with a disability, speak up! Tell them to stop or get an adult to help.

Always remember that a disability is a very small part of who a person is. Mostly, you’re looking at someone very similar to you.
